I TOTALLY agree. I think a lot of what you said here can be applied to anime, too. I mean, I freakin' HATE it when I'm looking for funny Yu-Gi-Oh! icons on Photobucket and a bunch of freaking YAOI POPS UP INSTEAD. I LOATHE YAOI, HENTAI, AND YURI WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING.

I personally don't like Rouge that much. I can kind of see Rouge and Knuckles together, but not in the lovey-dovey way that's probably portrayed. Well that was uncharacteristic of Rouge and Shadow seemed affected... I agree with you on Rouge and Shadow.

Oh man, I stopped playing Sonic after the first two 3D games, so I had no clue how ill-fitting the voices where.
Sonic X, man, that's where all these pairings are comming from, that & the comic book. In Sonic X, Rouge seemed very interested in Knuckles, but he didn't want to have anything to do with her. Sonic blatantly ignored Amy-Rose until the last episode (cop-out), & Sonic really was getting a little creepy around Knuckles. Sonic also seems to have some creepy charm with underaged boys.
