El 10 de Agosto de 1972 una bola de fuego surcó la atmósfera terrestre desde Utah a Alberta durante 101 segundos, recorriendo una distancia de 1000 millas a una velocidad de 14'7 kilómetros por segundo. El asteroide fue filmado por Linda Baker desde el Parque Nacional Grand Teton y un satélite de la fuerzas armadas estadounidenses detectó por radiometría de infrarojos la alteración atmosférica. De un tamaño de entre 2 a 80 metros de diámetro, de haber impactado en la superficie, habría formado un cráter del tamaño de una ciudad mediana.

i saw a show on this comet or what ever type of space rock this was and it said ppl all of that region thought the end of the world has come astronomers said that if it was a few more inches lower it probably would've hit
