im not trying to sound like a dick but i live in blacksburg the town where the shooting was and it scared everyone you couldnt leave your house without feeling the pain of the world i guess when it comes down to it the only thing we can do is pray and hope things will get better by our generation

This is an amazing tribute to the victims of the shooting. The song fits perfectly. It is such a sad tragedy that something like this had to happen and so many had to die there, at NIU, and at other school shootings.

umm, sorry buddy, but you're wrong. Daughtry co-wrote another song for this album, "Broken Road." This song ("World So Cold") was not written for or about the VT shootings. The whole album was already done when that happened. Note the title here says the song was 'unreleased' at the time. This song had been leaked before the album even came out.

To be honest mate you can get this post the hell out of this thread. If this provides some measure of comfort to anyone affected by the tragedy you can bet the thought of someone writing this song specifically in honor of the memories of their loved ones only enhances that feeling.

Dude, calm down. I'm not dissing the song or trying to make anyone affected by the event feel bad. All I was doing is pointing out the simple truth that this song was not specifically written about the VT shootings, and that Daughtry had nothing to do with this song. Yes, it serves as a beautiful memorial. That just wasn't what was in the mind of the writer when he wrote it.

Love it, awesome song for this. 12 Stones is one of my fave bands.
This vid got my emotions going.
My heart goes out to those affected by that terrible day. Long Live V-Tech.
