Maybe you should do your research!!!! Somoza was a corrupt bastard. he was the united states little bitch. The States paid him to stay in power. He would have done anything to tsay in power even if it meant killing his own people. I agree that the country hasnt gotten any better. But if you have done your research Nicaragua had been in war until the late 80's. Thats over 40 years of constant war, and on top of that we had a huge earthquake in the 70's, and the U.S. isnt "funding" anymore

I am leaving. im planning to move back. My parents came here because my dad was heaving health problems and he had family that can help him here so we immigrated over here. Damn Curly!!! You need to open your eyes big time. If you havent noticed, the United states is one of the major reasons why there cant be peace in this world. The U.S. depended on Somoza so he can keep communism from spreading, so in return they paid him. The U.S. Funded Al-queda for the exact same reason, and look what happened the Muslim extremists turned on the states. There is no cycle!!!! No one wants to depend on the U.S. everyone wants the U.S. to leave them the hell alone

Pero the revolution might have been good the problem was, they weren't politically capable to run a country. They were campesinos if the was a strong leader who knew what he was doing ok. but you have to understand the revolution also has gotten corrupted. no man. anybody who beleives in true freedom, would not support somozas leadership. it was a dictatorship. poor ppl didnt have a place then. Daniel ortega is not the fsln, and the party did not make the revolution, the party was made after the revolution, and the revolution was made by the nicaraguan people, thats why its called "the POPULAR reavolution"
