don't be silly, not being a hater but hes no where near as good as jimi. jimi actually invented the song for starters, and played it like no one else can.

That's not a bold statement, if you had said "ridiculous statement", or "ludicrous statement", I might have agreed.
This guy is a very good guitarist, in fact, relative to the majority of today's guitarists, he's REALLY good. Relative to Jimi, he's OK. Do you play guitar El Colto? I don't mean to sound patronising but I really don't think you understand music as a musician does, I don't think you understand Jimi. This guy in the vid would tell you exactly the same.

I'm a reasonably decent guitarist, probably not up to your standard but I can hold my own.
But....
I must be really thick! For some reason, I have just never been able to get my head round scales, to remember them, I think I probably know the blues scale in one position! I don't know why I can't take them in and remember them. I realise how much it will help my playing and how I will find it hard to progress to a very good level without it. Any ideas?

It's Voodoo Child(Slight Return). In Jimi's original notes on the album it's with a d. It's also that way on the album itself.
But honestly, does it really matter?

i'd say too much distortion for the lead..need a singer too. i'd say the solos were pretty good, but i would work on the main parts. SRV is the only one that can even come close to doing this justice anyways.
