Hello Hermanthegermann,
it means that she is not going to pretend she is something she isn't. She knows just enough to sound intelligent when speaking of philosophy and other political topics, but then she goes on to say, stop her before she gets into the deeper points of these topics and then she won't be able to continue the conversation. It is like the old saying goes:
