In the year 2000 Guatemala held the worst malnutrition stats, since the prevalence in chronic malnutrition reached the highest in Latin America. I reccomend you read "Malnutrition and poverty in Guatemala" by Alessandra Marini you can write to World Bank-Latin America and Caribbean Region 1818 H Street NW

As a Guatemalan citizen I have to say that I love my country and it makes me very happy to see that its beautiful places are being promoted this way. It is true that there are MANY things to be improved here. It is true that there is malnutrition, poor education, bad health care system, but it is not by criticizing these things that we will be a better country. A way of becoming better is to show the world our beauty so that the world shows its beauty to us...

Guisela muy bonito tu comentario. Me gustaria mucho viajar de visita a tu pais natal. Pero no quiero hacerlo por la via de los turistas porque se que me costaria mucho. pienso comprar un ticket de avion y al estar alli conseguir un lugar donde quedarme para desde alli visitar los hermoso lugares que tiene tu lindo pais. es buena esta idea?

Eventhough people in the U.S think that we Guatemalans are like Mexicans, they are totally wrong. We are different from the mind , soul and spirit. Guatemala Is a blessed Country, The few in Latin America that became quickly aprotestant lutheran. And a country that conserves its natural resources, Its currency is at 7 quetzales per dollar , easily beating the Mexican Peso which is by 13 per dollar. Guatemala has oil, coffee, fruits, vegetables and even military training to offer to the world.
