I so agree with you about the openess of Usagi. And yeah, Misaki kind of irritates me, but there isn't too much other conflict on this show and his struggle is actually a really good, authentic conflict. If this were the real world and not a "pure romance", it really would be overwhelming to have this much older, super-sophisticated guy just fall for you. He's lucky to have Usagi as his "first".
