LSD and psilocybin are structurally similar compounds. Psilocybin is essentially naturally accruing LSD. Many LSD users say that LSD is way easier to titrate the dose and is a less overwhelming experience than psilocybin containing mushrooms. LSD just has a really bad rap from the propaganda campaign of the 60s.

Dude...psilocybin is a completely, entirely different chemical from LSD.
You may be thinking of LSA, Lysergic Acid, which occurs naturally in the seeds of the morning glory flower. Lysergic Acid is a similar chemical to Lysergic Acid Diethylamide, but much less potent...that's why people don't often use LSA, instead using LSD, because it's cheaper, easier to get, and you don't need to take as much to feel the effects.
