Michael Savage - Obama, Hillary Support Honduras Dictator - Side with Chavez and Castro

Descripción del video:
U.S. President Barack Obama said on Monday the coup that ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya was illegal and would set a "terrible precedent" of transition by military force unless it was reversed.
"We believe that the coup was not legal and that President Zelaya remains the president of Honduras, the democratically elected president there," Obama told reporters after an Oval Office meeting with Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.
Zelaya, in office since 2006, was overthrown in a dawn coup on Sunday after he angered the judiciary, Congress and the army by seeking constitutional changes that would allow presidents to seek re-election beyond a four-year term.
The Honduran Congress named an interim president, Roberto Micheletti, and the country's Supreme Court said it had ordered the army to remove Zelaya.

Ok so we can say anything we want on the Internet. You eat clowds and shit rainbows and ride a unicorn to work at Santa's workshop. According to Article 239 Zelay's attempt to change the constitution was Illegal and required that he be permantly removed from office. And if it was a coup, then why isnt a general in charge, last time i checked the Honduran Government hasnt changed. Is it a Coup whenever the U.S. or Mexico Ellects a new president?
It's a coup ... ( 3 months ago por NicosNicosNicosNicos)
It's a coup whenever power is removed by force without following legal procedures. This was a institutional media/military coup. One or several generals have visibly been in charge in a number of coups, (not for example in the 2004 coup against Aristide or the 2002 coup against Hugo Chavez). The 1982 Honduran constitution does not give president/congress/supreme court powers to remove each other.
According to ... ( 3 months ago por NicosNicosNicosNicos)
According to article 239 of the retrograde constitution written by a dictatorship in 1982 one is automatically deprived of one's post by proposing re-election. Even had that been the case, the Supreme Court had no powers to send the military to send him out of the country.
Zelaya was running a referendum not on re-election but on whether the people wanted a Constituent Assembly.

As a sideline: On youtube you can see the Honduran police spokesman Daniel Molina, believing he is off-camera, clearly stating theirs was a coup. According to him, the armed forces are still in charge, even though they have civilian front persons. Maybe he is exaggerating a touch there, as I think these particular civilians are just as pro-oligarchy as the military and are full partners in this enterprise.

Hi. Article 205 ... ( 2 months ago por NicosNicosNicosNicos)
Hi. Article 205 gives the Congress 45 different powers. None of these includes removing the serving president. Article by jurists in Forbes magazine: "there is every reason to conclude Congress unconstitutionally exceeded its authority by granting itself an impeachment power that does not exist under Honduran law.
Zelaya wasnt trying ... ( 2 months ago por Condorsoldier)
Zelaya wasnt trying to run for re-election, thats what the referendum was for man, to change the Honduran Constitution, so he could run again, and again, and again, like His friend Hugo Chavez. Not only that, but Zelaya has admitted defeat, and is now In Mexico. Your argument is Nul Void acording to the Zman himself. Better luck next time.

It's amazing how I answered your question as to the legal basis for my argument, yet you are talking about Zelaya not trying to run for re-election(that much is true, but did I suggest he was?). The referendum was to ask people whether they wanted a new democratic constitution to be drafted. Nowhere were term limits on the agenda. You seem to have little patience with examining the facts. Mexico? The Brazilian embassy as far as I can tell. "admitted defeat"? What does that mean? Like in a game?
