Name them!!!! No one, even B.B. King and Albert King acknowledged Stevie as THE MASTER. Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton were in awe of SRV and Jimi. Stevie mixed it ALL UPSIDE DOWN and came out on TOP!! You are a FOOL!!!!

Thank you for posting this video landloader. I believe one of the reasons SRV recorded this song was to spark comparison and debate(intelligent?) about the two versions. to me the sad thing about the untimely death of Steve was that his style was changing. His last album with Jimmy vaughn looked like he was about to cross over to pop, soul, and country with very interesting results.

Actually SRV recorded this song cause he loved it and he wanted to show his respect and love to Jimi Hendrix and his music that influenced SRV and this was a tribute to him, and SRV nailed it perfectly. He totally played it and made it his own, and it came out wow! Totally amazing and unique. And yeah, the last album from SRV with Jimmie Lee "Family Style" is amazing. A great cross over as you said to pop, soul, country and a bit of funk as that great song from that record, Baboom-Mama Said.

There isn't, never has been, and, never will be, four people better than S.R.V.
Nobody is as complete. Nobody understood the whole thing like Stevie. Just look, listen, and REALLY think about it. Many big guys, many big pools. Stevie was the ocean. No insult intended, Stevie really did learn from all of them. All of those big guys liked to hear Stevie play.

What the hell are you talking about?
Stevie did the big thing with Bowie and Clapton.
He played small venues for the love of it, for the people, for HIS love of music AND for OUR love of music. B.B.King, Albert King, who DIDN'T he play with? Mainstream? You have to explain THAT comment.

Just remember this... SRV is a guitar god. And yes he can play the shit out of Hendrix songs. But Jimi was the one who created these songs. It wasnt just Kimi's playing skills that set him apart from everyone else...it was also his creativity. It's really not fair to compare anyone to Jimi.
Both of those guys ... ( 10 horas por legacyofpop)
Both of those guys died way too early.
Stevie had more time to do what he loved, ie experimenting and creating fusions between different styles.
I can't imagine where Jimi's creativity would have taken us.
I also can't imagine how to compare. Would there be any point? I guess it just bugged me to see Stevie at number 5 on someones list.
