I would have never thought a non-Hungarian could ever sing this song like that! Wow! Amazing technique, heart-warming performance, nice pronunciation. (I, as a Hungarian, didn't understand every line, yet I have never heard such good Hungarian pronunciation from a foreigner).

This is the most beautiful performance of this Kodály song what I have ever heard in my life. It's a kind of etalon for the Hungarians as well. Nearly perfect pronunciation for the hard hungarian words.

Does anyone know the subject matter of this song though? I wonder what the message behind such a beautiful sound is?

The world to world translation of this song's title is: Evening Song.
You know, our Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967) and Béla Bartók (1881-1945), besides of being great componists, collected the traditonal Hungarian folk music. Kodály begun in 1905 his visis into small villages with a simple sound recorder. As he was a great componist, he set the songs for chorus. So, you can enjoy here a very old and very nice Hungarian song.
