There will always be copies out there, but are they as good as the real thing? If so, the original wont be the 'leading brand' for long. If not... dont get them, you're just risking your own life.

I hate this. There are no copy rules in china which means that any one in china are free to copy everything. I think that is why the european and japanese car companies can't sue them.

Ford has even sold its prestigious Land Rover division to TATA. They've failed to improve on LRover's reliability though. they've actually gone up on the number of complaints per 100 cars (a measuring stick for car reliability). but still, you have to hand it to them. it just shows FORD's confidence in the company.

Yeah, true, but they cant sell these cars in the western market, or any none western market that have huge dealings with the west, because of lobby activities. So, in the future, when the Chinese cars meet western safety req and will be able to be sold in the west they will probably make cars that fit both east and western markets. Which means there will be less plagiarism.
Also China, too keep access to western markets, will probably with time construct plagiarism laws...

shame on china. india on the other hand is becoming the R&D centre for the world's largest manufacturers. cars made in india are cheap but good in quality. they are many good innovative products from india eg: nano, indica, scorpio etc made by tata motors, mahindra, maruti etc. cars like A star(alto), splash, sx4, etc are exported from india to europe, africa, america, ausralia etc. companies such as hyundai design, manufacture and export from india(i 10).

Tata has been in the auto industry since the 1940s and hasn't been able to do anything. Bad acquisitions have been hurting the company. Tata hasn't been able to revive any of the luxury cars such as Land Rover or Jaguar. The design of these cars are getting worse. Have you seen the price of TTM's stock? Also, too many complaints about the quality of its cars. BTW, Jews pretty much control Indian's market and they are dumping the Indian stocks like junk. I got screwed by them! :(
